Bust out your cowboy boots because the Collegiate Rocket League (CRL) World Championship is returning to DreamHack Dallas June 2–4, at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Center! The 16 best CRL teams will compete for their share of $75,000 in scholastic awards as well as the title of CRL World Champions!
How to Qualify
Three teams have already qualified for the CRL World Championship, and there are still eight North American and five European spots up for grabs! Qualification for the remaining CRL World Championship spots will be determined by the following:
The top two teams from the CRL Spring Split
The top two teams with the best League Play record from the overall 2022-23 Season for both East and West Conferences
The top two teams from the North American Last Chance Qualifier
The top three teams from UniRocketeers Spring 2022-23
The top two teams from the European Last Chance Qualifier
Should a team qualify for multiple berths into the CRL World Championship, additional berths will be awarded to the highest-placed team from the relevant competition that have not already qualified for the CRL World Championship.
Much like last year, the CRL World Championship is a 16-team tournament with 10 teams representing North American universities, and six teams representing European universities. Those 16 teams will be divided into four groups of four for the Group Stage. Within each group, teams will be competing in a Double-Elimination, GSL-Style bracket, with each Group Stage match being Best-of-5 (BO5).
The eight teams that make it out of the Group Stage will then be seeded into an eight-team, Single-Elimination Playoff Bracket. The Quarterfinals will all be BO5, while the Semifinals and Grand Finals will be Best-of-7 (BO7). The Playoff Bracket will be played on the third – and final – day of the CRL World Championship and the winner will be crowned CRL World Champion!
